Nokia Beta Labs have, after nearly eleven months, released an updated version of its popular Conversation prog.
You will need to follow the instuctions carefully if you already have the older version installed but it works on both my N95 8GB and N95-1. There's also versions for S60 3.2 and E series 3.0 and 3.1.
Only installed an hour ago so no details or changelog yet.
See here for instructions and download:-

A few things I've noticed whilst using the new version of Conversation on my 8GB are:
1. It seems to load a lot quicker than the older version.
2. Seems to be a lot more stable when sending multiple texts. The older version would close both Contacts and Conversation with the error message:-
Application closed:
Contacts
USER 11
3. Now, when I send a text using Conversation, I get the receipiants name on the text in the Sent box whereas previously it was just their phone number.
I would reiterate that you should follow the instructions that Nokia give about reinstalling a new version on your phone. I just backed up the phones memory on both my N95-1 and N95 8GB and both worked fine after reinstalling from Backup.
I hope they fixed the dreaded "Text message already in use" error. That would really annoy me from time to time.
And I hope they've fixed the fact that Conversation used to randomly delete words from the dictionary.

Gah blast it! 😡 That was really the only problem that I would have with this app... that, and it's paired up with the Contacts app instead of Messaging where it should be.

Never mind, at least they haven't forgotten "Conversation" at Nokia.
Who knows... they may fix those two problems in the next update...
say about November next year at their current speed.
Shame really... it's one of my favourite, and most useful, applications. 🙄
