Has anyone got any experience of the above Car Kit and could they recommend a USB Bluetooth adaptor so I can sync with my PC please.
Looked through the FAQ's and NEWBIES section (search mode) and found nothing. Please point me to any links should I have missed them 😊
Thanks
I installed HCB-30 a few days ago and it's a beauty. Connection with the P800 was a breeze and the audio quality was above average. I have tried to put the phone on different places in the car and it always work. And it is very small with just the mike and the control panel visible.
Yogi, how is the installation of the HCB-30? Is it easy to install in the car? Can one do it by himself or do you need to have it installed by a professional shop? Does it connect to the audio system of the car (turning the volume down when making calls etc.) or does it have its own speaker? How much did you pay for it? (I know, lots of questions, sorry...)

Thanks,

The cheapest I could find it in the UK is for 139.99 which includes everything (UK taxes, Postage & Postal Insurance).
I think this works out at around 46,200 forints? (Working on 1.00 = 330 forints)
I had the installation done by a professional, this meant that all the wires from the control panel & microphone is completely hidden. Furthermore if you want to use your car speakers instead of the one that comes with the set - you need the music mute cable, but beware it is not compatible with all cars. The installer will know which ones to use.
The guy took 1 hour to install it - it works perfectly, with voice recognition and several bluetooth enabled phones - incl. the P800.

I use the Belkin USB Bluetooth adapter (with a small antenna), i've bought it in the US for 35$ - and it works well with the P800. It is a Bluetooth power class 1 device, which means 100m range as opposed to the standard 10m. But the P800 is a 10m device, but at least the adapter is somewhat future proof.
Do remember to download the 1.1.1 Synching update from SE, it improves sync reliability.

Hi Dan. I had it installed by a professional. It will mute the stereo when you recieve calls and it has its own loudspeaker. If you buy the SE advanced music mute you will get the sound in the loudspeakers of your car stereo. I payed about 220 Euros for the kit and the same for the installation.

Is the Advanced Stereo Mute a separate item and if so have you got the model number?
It's a seperate item. The model number is: HCE-16
I received an email today telling me that the separate item is not required

Hi Dave,
Yes the HCB-30 does interract with the stereo speakers so you do not need an extra piece of kit.
The cost of the car kit is 139.95
Delivery cost is 2.50
Total cost.. 142.45

I have sent an email back requesting clarification however the following site
www.iphones.ws/hcb-30.html
also says you don't need any additional equipment
CONFUSED :-?
You don't need the extra item. You only need it if you want the hcb-30 sound in the car stereo loudspeakers instead of the supplied external speaker.
To sum it up: Hcb-30 will mute the stereo and the sound from the caller goes to the external loudspeaker supplied with the kit
Hce-16 mutes the stereo as well but the sound from the caller will be in the car stereo loudspeaker and you don't need to install the external loudspeaker supplied with hcb-30

Just ordered BOTH items ready for the phone arriving and for installing into my new car!
Thanks for your help mate.
The HBH-30 is quite nice.. However, I've dedicated it solely to my T68 now because I have just acquired the HBH-60... I'm using it on my P800 and no glitches so far... Way nicer in design then the older models and with the built in Magic Word feature on the headset nothing compares..
