I use the 3com Bluetooth USB adaptor
It works with Nokia 7650 Suite or with the software supplied by 3com.
Very fast and well worth the +/- US$100.
Easy to use with different PC's as it is USB plugin

Due to ongoing problems trying to get BT to work I have bought a Belkin IR [USB] and this is working fine transfer seems to be about the same speed as using the original BT software to transfer files - its just that DataSuite now works on IR :-?
What was the price Brian?
I bought my irDA device from
www.logomanager.co.uk
for about 30, it works fine.

Are you using the IR-220L serial adaptor?
Any problems setting it up?
Yes that is the one, no problems setting it up, I just plugged it in to the mother board, switched on and XP noticed it was there and installed the correct drivers. then installed PC-Suite and everything worked.
😃
Wow that sounds too good to be true.
Thanks I will order one.
i just got a usb infrared unit from maplins (uk) 20.00 works perfect.
I bought the 220L infrared because my mother board, like a lot of them, had an infrared header that wasn't being used so I thought I would use it. USB is great for hot plugging but this is a thing I am not going to take in and out a lot, plus I have enough USB devices to take up my processor time.
