NSU error when updating firmware

3 replies · 6,584 views · Started 23 December 2008

I get this error message when my cable is connected directly to motherboard or laptop:

"For optimum connectivity, your USB cable should be connected directly to the PC, and not via a hub, USB keyboard or laptop docking station"

What can I do?
I want to update my firmware

Thanks in advance.

PS Ive updated my software before, but these are two new systems and have never used NSU on them before. Both are vista ultimate 64 bit editions

Thanks again

If you have the latest NSU version, it should be OK with Vista.

Try disabling your Firewall (Windows or 3rd party) before launhing NSU as mine (Norton Internet Security) tends to interfere with NSU.

I get prompted to download the latset NSU version so I assume thats ok.

Ill try the firewall thing but it downloads the update fine, the problem is when it starts to install it.

Ill answer back in a few minute to say whether it worked or not.
thanks
