Hi all,

Stab in the dark here if someone else has had this problem.

Thing is, got a new ford focus with the bluetooth hands free option but when i pair up my n95-1 classic it wont sync my phonebook after pairing.

Anyone else had the same problem?

Hi, thanks for the reply.

Yeah been down that route, didnt work. Just wondering if anone HAS actally got their n95 to transfer their phonebook contacts over coz i cant for the hell of me get it over.
Just wanting to know if anyone has so i know if its possible or not.

no probs.. i had to reinstall that program due to firmware upgrade the other night and it transferred to the nuvi gps. i dont own a focus but i know there is issues with some of the n95/e51 design phones.

good luck

My mate had the same problem with his Mondeo, what he did was disconnect pairing with the car go to contacts on your phone, go to mark/unmark and mark them all, go to options and send via bluetooth to your car and then re-pair with car. worked for him.

I have tried that too and no joy, it tries for a split second then disconnects. Is the Mondeo Brand New 08 as im hoping its a firmware update thats needed on mine as its June 07.

His is a new 08 Mondeo. sorry i couldn't help.

you need to have the correct BT module installed by Ford, i.e. the right version... (somethign that you have no control over)

If that is ok, the 810 contacts loader is normally the way to go.

Its not a quick thing though normally... how long are you trying for??
If you are just sitting and waiting in the car, that wasnt long enought for me. I started the pairing etc from scratch and then drove to work... by the time I got to work, the action was complete..

That wasnt in a Focus mind, but it may be a duration thing?

Hi Kontraband,

I gave it a good 30mins 1hr with the 810 contacts software no joy. So kinda gave up on the phonebook sync.
Using voice dialup now, 2nd best option i know but hey, make the best of it.

I did come across however Car_Contacts_S60_3.x_1.00 sis and that shows my call logs hehe.

On the Bluetooth Module are you meaning hardware or software version its running on?

If software i can always pester Ford when i get me car serviced 😊

Ah well thats plenty of time...

I suppose it might be in the method you are pairing with the car> (see link below)

The Ford BT system is made my Nokia I think, so there shouldnt be any issue really... but clearly there is as a quick online search tells you...

The BT modules on the car was a hardware thing... but all new ones came with the correct Q module.

Not sure if this post is of any use?

otherwise it check out the stowners club forum and ask on there... people have the N95 working (see this google cached thread)

Yeah i thought it was plenty of time too.

I may try unpairing it from the audio unit one more time but i reckon my audio unit just isnt capable. Pretty pants really considering its the top spec audio the focus provided with their 2007 models. Think the audio unit is made by Denzo not sony (its the touch screen with satnav) with nokia BT module so i think the Denzo unit will only be able to give so much functionality.

Still only a minor thing. The connection is faultless and never drops and voice comms is really clear which is the main thing.
