Downloaded Game for N95 , unzipped it but what next??

Hi, i've downloaded some games for my N95 in zip form, so I unzipped and transferred the folders to a directory of my N95, please could someone tell me how to load the games? :con?

There is no .exe file as there would be with a PC, i've put the folder in my Games directory on my phone but the games do not appear to click to load anywhere :con?

in the games folder itself are .PNG .WAV .CLASS .DAT .BIN files and a META-INF folder with a MANIFEST.MF file in?? :con?

Thanks for any help 😊

Applications for the N95 are in .sis file exntension. After you've transferred it to your phone just find the file using the built in file manager and open it.

Those files are java files that is usually in .JAR format. just rename it to .jar (if it isnt already) and put it on your memory card. Use file manager to install it.

Yes, in case the above post wasn't clear, the zip filename should actually end in .jar.

e.g. rename mygame.zip -> mygame.jar

On my system, I can double click .jar games to install them, but if you can't on yours (i.e. if Winzip or something else has taken over the file association), copy the file to your device, then find it in the file manager on your device, and run it.

hey thanks alot for the help!!!!! 😎😎😎😎

dont know why i thought i had to unzip the archive :con? file manager on the phone does it all 😎

thanks again :icon14:

.jar is basically a zipped up package of those java files - hence why you can open it up using zip of sorts..
