Help needed
Just recieved my n96 from o2, The handset will not validate ANY licences at all. Not for Iplayer, Ngage or Maps. I had a free tetris licence in box which doesnt work, and I bought the game again but nothing, the handset is running v12, I have tried connecting via wifi, GPRS to no avail, any help would be greatly appreciated.
Really can't anybody help me?
This is not some kind of con to get free licences or something?
Its just o2 are chocolate fireguards and it's practically impossible to get any sense out of the Nokia Centres, they just say flash it, which I have done.
Once again,please help.
When you use the Tetris activation code, the first character is the number/digit 0, not the letter O.
Make also sure that you have the O2 Internet and WAP access point settings configured correctly in the phone. You can use the "Settings Wizard" application in the phone.
In N-Gage, check also the connection settings there: N-Gage -> My Profile -> Options -> Profile details -> Private -> Connection Settings
You can also use the phone's web browser to go to http://n-gage.mobi/d to get the latest N-Gage version, or in the N-Gage application main view hit Options and then choose "Check for updates".
Latest firmware (v12) for the phone you can get via http://www.nokia.com/softwareupdate (Nokia Software Updater).
I'm starting to wonder whether this is a problem with O2 phones, perhaps the GPRS settings are set up wrongly, as my licence woes seem to extend to the free tetris game as well.
I have manually entered the WAP settings in and added them both to WAP services & Internet in the Connection settings.
Is there anyone with an O2 branded N96 who has got licences working?
