unless lightning has struck twice! i got a p800 2day which i intend to return 2morrow to the orange shop as i was gonna buy it later on when its released to my local dealer (i couldnt resist having a mess arround with it on launch day). However i tried my cousins sim card in the handset which has line 2 and strangley id didnt work. I called orange customer services who initially didnt have a clue as the documentation they had didnt yes or no to having line 2.
then the guy borrowed a sim card of a colleage that supports line 2 and id didnt work in their demo p800 either. This is pretty crap as the phone is amazing - really its the best phone ive ever used but this feature thats been left out may really put me off getting the handset as i cant carry 2 phones but need two numbers (work and personal) infact its the reason im with orange.
i hope they add this functionality soon or its something that was left out by mistake as symbian os supports line 2 as my old 9210 communicator and friends 7650 have this running perfectly!
i will email orange and see what they say - but im not confident of it happening :cry:

I have Everyday50 on Line2 and don't want to lose it because orange can't get it right with the software.
Bought a P800 from the Orange shop (two actually - his and hers!) waited 24 hours for sim to activate and spent the last 24 hours asking Orange how to swop to Line 2. Eventually they admitted the P800 does not support Line 2...........
this is very odd as orange to my knowledge have never released a handset that doesnt support all their network features!
well i mean i managed to get my 8910 to work with line 2 - but id rather have a p800!
i miss it already (i returned mine to the orange shop as i just got it for a mess arround)
im not gonna get one now until they add line 2 support - :cry:

Thats not Line2.
Line 2 is the ability to have two different phone numbers registered to your SIM.

Unfortunately the P800 does not support the line2 function. It is also unlikely that a software update will be available to correct this in the future. This is due to the operating system that Sony-ericsson used when designing the mobile
