Happy new year everyone, hope you don't have a bad hangover from last night...

Maybe we should use this thread to speculate on what we might see in 2009...

Perhaps we'll see a touchscreen Eseries device like the N97, maybe it will be the next Communicator?

I think the 5800 will sell rather well, it's got so much packed in there for such a low price, it's cheaper than any other new S60 right now. Having said that, I wonder if Nokia will bring out an even cheaper touchscreen model based on Series 40 for people who don't want a smartphone.

Happy New Year from Romania dear AAS team !

I've read you constantly over the past four months since I've discovered you and I must say that you are doing a great job with your comments / reviews.

Keep it up with all the good work !

I'd like a cheap touch screen S40 phone. If it is easy to operate, It could be a good phone for old(ish) people.

I'd buy one for my mother-in-law. She needs a new phone.

Unregistered, I was thinking the same thing, cheap touch phones could be very good for older and/or non-techie users.

Touchscreens can have nice big buttons and labels appropriate to the current function. If a touchscreen interface is well designed, you don't have to remember what each button does.

The iPhone and N97 are far too expensive for such a purpose, the 5800 is much cheaper but still a bit pricey... so cheap touchscreen on S40 could be a big hit with people who currently buy basic phones.
