Has the "Game Extras" section been used yet?

I have 5 full version paid games. They are some of Nokia's bigwigs for the N-Gage - Bounce, HO-CotD, oNe, Reset Generation and Fifa 08.

Still, i am yet to see any thing being offered via the Game Extras section.

I have complete the Bounce game with just one level not cleared with full bonus points. Only 9 levels? Surely they can offer more levels via the Game Extras section. That's what this section was made for, to offer users more levels after a game has been launched!

I have completed the story of oNe in all the 3 difficulty levels, but nothing in the Game Extras for this game too!

Reset Generation is supposed to be Nokia's visiting card for the N-Gage platform. No goodies offered for this game too!

I would like you all to check and post here if you find anything in the "Game Extras" section o N-Gage. Has it been put to any use yet?

Alsiladka, no game extras so far, and Nokia haven't even said what it will be used for anyway. I think they should have left it out until they had something to include in the section.

By the way, Bounce is only 7 euros (compared to 40 or 50 euros for a console game) so I think it's pretty good value for the price.

Tzer2, Here is what the Ngage User Guide says about the Game Extras -

"Download game extras

Game Extras are new or additional gameplay items that you can download for games you already own. They may include items such as new characters, weapons, and levels, depending on the game.

To view a list of games that haveavailable Game Extras, select Browse All Game Extras in Showroom.

To find out more about a Game Extra, scroll to it and selectOptions > View Details.

The About tab contains adescription of the Game Extra and other information such as the price.

In the Media tab you can view screenshots and video clips of the Game Extra. To view the selected media item in full screen mode, select Options > View.

To download a Game Extra, scroll to it in the list and selectOptions > Download Game Extra.

Important: Downloading game extra files from the internet or from the device involves the transmission ofdata.

Your service provider may charge for datatransmission.
To cancel the download of a Game Extra, go to My Games, select the download to be canceled and then select Options > Cancel Download.
"

I was hoping that they would release some extra levels for Bounce, as compared to the other ngage games, it was really really short, and i have already got 535 NGP from the 1000.

"Game Extras" or "Downloadable Content" as i better know them as has been confirmed for "Dirk Dagger" and "Space Impact".

Dirk Dagger is expecting an additional chapter (or a new mystrey) to make the game longer, this was mainly a rumour - heard nothing new since i heard it 2 month after release of the game.

Space Impact is going to have a "CLAN" Mode where you can play the game in a group of 4, however last i heard it was 3 other AI Players instead of online friends, this has been confirmed but no release date yet.

Snakes subsonic was rumored to have some add-on content aswell, but nothing has appeared on that.

Game extras works the same as DLC (Downloadable Content) on XBL (Xbox Live) and PSN (Playstation Network) - all it does is add extra levels / gampleay / clothing etc - can make an old game fresh again!

Whatever they intended the Game Extras for, they clearly haven't used it so it seems silly to include the feature. They should have waited until they had something to put in it.

I think the Dirk Dagger thing was a misunderstanding because the online Flash demo talked about "chapter one", so some people assumed this would be a multi-part adventure like something from Xbox Live (where some adventure games are sold in chapters). When the full game came out though "chapter one" turned out to just mean the first part of the game, and the whole game has lots of chapters.

The Space Impact clan thing is definitely on the way though, the developers talked about it in the forums, but AFAIK it will be integrated into an updated version of the game rather than an add-on patch. (The updated version will be free for anyone who bought the original.)

I have already completed ONE in all the three modes of difficulty. Currently, i play it in my spare time in the quest of unlocking the Perfect, Great, Versus and Survival NGPs. But there is nothing available in the Game Extras section.
