Mobile Paint for the 5800 and 5th Edition

Well spotted the SF team for this find: a complete, functional touch-driven painting application for S60 5th Edition (and thus the 5800 XpressMusic) over at Forum Nokia. Although Mobile Paint is only an 'example' app, you can still save your creations in JPG form. Don't worry about all the source code bits, you only need to install one of the SIS files, etc. Screenshots and links below...

Looks like a fun little app, which might have been overlooked if not found by the blogging community... Ceterum censeo that they should get their act together with an app distribution system 😉

A couple of days ago you had a post about mobile paint attributed to SymbianFreak. Now the post has gone and new one thanks a different blog!

I'm amazed that wasn't bundled with the firmware, seems an obvious thing to include on a touchscreen device.

The Nokia Maemo internet tablets all have a built-in paint app (though weirdly none of them have a calendar app...).
