I just made the e71 firmware upgrade. Not my best decision. I have a german keyboard (qwertz, not qwerty, and ��� on it). The 200.21.118 firmware does not support that keyboard, so everything is a bit messed up now.
Is there a way of downgrading again? The Nokia Software updater keeps saying that I have the most actual firmware installed. But how can I get my 110.07.127 back?

You can't downgrade the firmware. Did you change the product code to get the new firmware.

You can't....not with the NSU anyway.
The only thing you can do is wait for the update to be available for your product code or find a product code that uses qwertz and has the update available, you will then get the option to reinstall.
You may be able to downgrade using Nokia Phoenix service suite or similar (google it) but it is still a risky business downgrading firmware.

Well, after the first shock I am getting used to the new keyboard layout. And as I am quite happy with a more stable wlan, i will not bing me in deeper trouble doing a risky downgrade.
Is it for sure, that an update of that size will sooner or later will be available for all product codes? It might be the easyest way to just wait.
Yes, I changed product key to 0558785 and then I could reinstall the updated firmware. Everyting is fine again! New firmware AND german keyboard layout.

You cannot downgrade, but you can re-do the installation with the same version of the software and a different productcode.

I have a E71, I don't know if there are several versions...?
When I do #*0000# it gives :
500.21.009 02-06-2010 RM-346 NOKIA E71-1 (05)
500.21.009 is the version I put a few days ago. Not happy at all with that because the phone blocks without doing anything except permitting me to make a vocal command. All choices are inactives and only number to dial a number are actives. The 2 blue keys on top are inefficient.
I ve no other choice than switching off withe top key and restart the E71.
It happens I don t know why and when, about 3 times a day.
That why I m looking for a solution or in the worst case a downgrade (but I love the last maps application :frown: )

I Have Nokia E71, i have a problem in connecting my mobile with computer..
when i connect the usb cable from pc to my mobile , I can see the option in my mobile as shown below.
Select Pc Mode.
PC Suite.
Mass Storage.
Media Transfer.
Print Media.
After i Select any option there . my mobile is not been detecting in my PC .
I have tried selecting all the options but no response from the PC.
I tried restoring My phone for factory settings also then also there is no response.
Also I tried *#7370# that too not helped me..
Get Me some Solution, That will be great full..
Can you try with a different PC to see if that one detects your phone? Or a different USB cable?
Does your PC have Bluetooth? If so, install or reinstall the latest Nokia PC Suite and see if you can get the phones to communicate using Bluetooth.

But there is no response...
I tried with bluetooth also there also its not getting detected..

I have a E71 with firmware version 510.21.009 and somehow i manage to downgrade it to 501.21.009 using J.A.F. version 1.98.62.
If anyone was interested I'm willing to tell how.

Hello, if you still cant connect your phone to your pc then try to uninstall the nokia connectivity driver under add/remove programs.
then connect your phone and do the following
right click>my computer>properties>device manager> then scan for hardware changes.
Its not your phone doing but the pc sometimes failed to read usb connection.

Hi, have you fixed it? I am having the same problems as you with firmware 110.07.127: 09/10/2008 : RM-346 : E71.1.
I tried any possible way to update and no chance.
It is working fine but the Internet Radio is not working at all. Maybe with newest firmware it will work.
There are any changes in the latest firmware, in terms of functionality? It is working any better? Any added features?

Done it. It looked to be the cable's fault, it was not original one. I got an original one and it worked perfectly.
I was able to update the firmware to 501.21.001, not before I changed the product code and reverted back when finished.
