Hello, im new here, i am considering getting Samsung Innov8 but reviews state that the speaker volume is very low, i tried on my friend's one too. I would like to know if there are any software or tricks to modify the speaker volume higher? Help is appreciated.

Do you mean the loudspeaker or the internal one used when making a call?
Had mine for a while now and haven't noticed that the speaker volume is low, when playing music via the loudspeaker mine can be heard upstairs and downstairs.

Hi, thanks for the reply, i meant the volume when playing music, because i tried on my friend's one it sounds quite low also i googled and some reviews state that the sound is low too. You mean yours is loud, how does it compared to the K610i which is very loud?

Not had the K610i so can't give a comparison but as I say if I have the phone upstairs playing music I can hear it downstairs, admittedly when its quiet and all the doors are open 🙄

Hi yongjie222

What area of music do you want to know about... loudspeaker volume or headset volume?

Would a comparison with a SE W610 be close enough (is there a K610?)

If you're wondering about external speaker performance IMHO Innov8 rocks! Wipes the W610 off the map. Loud, with clarity and STEREO external speakers it's one of the best I've heard in the market to date.

Now if you wondering about headsets - the Innov8 is Wild! No comparison to the W610. (I'm an ex-drummer, with less than perfect hearing), but even with the handset on level 8, using an
A2DP BlueTooth headset with the earplugs that came with the Innov8 the volume is wicked. One of the few music/phone units that I still have volume left to play with before I get to the levels I like listening to (and that's loud). The clarity is sweet too. Worth every penny and the awards this phone is getting around the world. I doubt if you would be dissappointed yongjie222!

I hope this helps...
Cheers

Thank you very much by the way, there is K610i , http://www.sonyericsson.com/cws/products/mobilephones/overview/k610i
I mean the sound while playing music, ear piece doesn't matter to me but i just don't feel the volume while playing music is loud enough, is there any way to tweak it?

The speaker volume on this handset is pretty good considering it is just a phone. I find it perfectly loud enough but it all depends on the quality of the source you are listening too, not the device itself.

There are other 3rd party programs you can get such as CorePlayer which I think has a graphic equaliser that you can play with. I have not used it or any other 3rd party programs so I cannot say for certain.

There must be a ton of music apps for S60 that would work on this phone that would have an EQ or other way of tweaking the audio.
