5800 - What's the WiFi like?

I experienced a better wifi signal than with my Nokia 9500 and a much better signal than with my SE P1i. The singal strength is essentially the same as with my Netgear USB-WIFI. Can't compare it to a N96 though.

After much odd looks from the neighbours with me walking about with 4 mobiles in shorts in the snow I can (hopefully) help you out. With a N82, N95 8 gig, N96 and 5800 I can post the following results.

With a Belkin wifi router installed in a media room under the stairs, the N82 dropped first at (all approx) 20 metres. N96 died at 28-30 metres. N95 30-32 metres and the 5800 about the same 30-32 metres. This is all a real setting and very very cold. No nearby networks. Not much interference as its on an outside wall.

pleasure - just got warmed legs again! damn that snow - now ive got the 5800, im selling the others so all were charged up (for once - pics for ebay!)

Any pictures of your investigation? 😃

My 5800 gets a stronger wi-fi signal than my iPod Touch, very impressive.
