The whole my-symbian.com seems to be deleted. Dunno why, and dunno by who, but a pissed off forum user / hacker comes to my mind first 😞 I doubt Michael deleted that site by himself...

I could not log in so tried to register again. It told me my e-mail address had been banned. I was using a hotmail address and it might be that all hotmail addresses are banned to prevent 'abuse'. Are you guys using a hotmail address?

http://my-symbian.com/ works great for me - on their forums right now. And yup, you certainly can't register new accounts with hotmail addresses, don't know what happens if you've already got one listed.

Everything seems to be working fine now which is good. If you are having problems accessing the forums you might want to try contacting Michal directly be e-mail.

I experienced the same problem with registering to my-symbian.com, so I am glad to see that the others are experiencing the same. Check this topic for details: http://www.allaboutsymbian.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=8376, where it is explained why hotmail cannot be used. But this is not explained on my-symbian.com site, and new users get the impression that only his hotmail address is banned and not the whole domain:

On your site it seems that it is quite difficult to register and to remain anonymous. You are not accepting free e-mail addresses like hotmail.

For purely technical reasons. People register using hotmail accounts created only for passing the registration. They enable topic reply notifications, their accounts get filled and we are flooded with HUNDREDS of bounced emails and error messages everyday. The best proof that you are wrong about our intentions is that you can still use Yahoo and literally hundreds of other free services to join our forums - just because we don't have such problems with these servers.

On the other hand, you shouldn't discuss about my-symbian.com here on AAS, instead you should send a private e-mail to webmaster of my-symbian.com and ask him why you cannot register. 😃

This is really funny.
What are you on?

I'm not on anything. All my existing my-symbian.com bookmarks gave me 404 errors on 2 different browsers on 2 different computers. Suddenly getting 404 from every link that used to work and means the server is up, but the files are not where they used to be. my-symbian.com forwarded me to home.pl, and www.my-symbian.com gave me a 404. Maybe I jumped a conclusion, but that's just because I just recently saw a forum user taking one big phpbb forum down because he got pissed to an admin. Everything seems to be working fine now though.

same prob, keep askin mi to log in.n when i type in my user name n password,it says i m wrong...sighhh...anyone help?
