Unlocking a n95 without contract — Nokia N95 and N95 8GB

I have my N95 which is locked to T-Mobile and the contract ended, and then canceled a few months ago, as I moved to Orange.

But I now what to sell my N95 so would prefer to have it unlocked. How can I do this without a T-Mobile account?

you can call T-mobile, and tell them you had the phone thru them and now have run your contract out and want the unlock code. They should give it you for free now you are out of contract..

T-Mobile charge �15 for network unlock, well thats what they charged me to unlock an out of contract phone

Did they?? You have already paid the fee for the handset over the life of your contract, so therefore the lock release should be free. The charge normally occurs inside the contract life. Essentially, you have bought the handset for 12/18months and then after that it isnt tied to them... You could chase that Im sure as I know its been done for free outside of contract. (if you really wanted to)

T-mobile are refusing to give me an unlock code as I no longer have an account.

Any way to do this without operator yet?

There is a shop near where I live (Southampton UK), I took my phone in there. �15 and it was done an hour later.

It was my sister's old phone, Orange wanted �20 and three weeks to give me an unlock code.

Here are the steps for unlocking a Nokia N95,

2 - Don't bother as to what is displayed on your Nokia N95.
