IM "system error" after updating to V 31 n95 8gb

Hi Liam!

Was waiting for a post like this from you my friend.

Everytime there's a firmware update I ask you if you've restored the settings from PC Suite Backup.

You say yes.

I say that it causes more problems than it's worth and that I would never restore the settings, infact I choose to rebuild the phone piecemeal.

You then say that you always restore the settings with no problems in the past.

Do I see a pattern forming here?

lol i see what you are saying but ive not had problems before. I reinstalled firmware again anyway and restored the back up and IM is working again now.

N gage seems to suffer themost from firmware updates, the rest is ok.

I just cannot be bothered re building my phone from scratch..

Restoring from Back-up is probably why you don't have the pre-installed games that come with V31 as per your recent post on this forum.

I checked before restoring the data and the games were not there. I have set it to save games to mass memory so that should not be the reason, although I did not format everything I admit.
