where can i get a desktop like app for my 7650

I want my 7650 to look a bit more like the pocket pc front screen, with diary dates and stuff on it.

Is there any software apart from ActiveDesk that will do this.

Have a look at ActiveDesk and One2Go on Handango.

I use One2Go myself, it doesn't change the desktop, but it shows you that you have meetings, tasks and messages waiting. If you want to see what the appointment is there is an easy way to access the CAl, Task list and Inbox. Also it's memory requirements are much less (around 100K).

If you search the forum (using search at the top) you should be able to find discussion on both.

P.S. Welcome to the forum

Cheers Bob I will have a look at One2Go, i wasnt too impressed with active desk.

I also wondering if its worth having a go at writing my own software to customise my phone.

BTW thanks for the welcome 😃

If you are a coder then C++ is the language to go for, download the SDK from Nokia's website and have a go.

The development forums here are a great source of information for the potential coder.

I havn't coded for years myself, except a little VB for applications, but good luck anyway.

I Use Handy Day

It doesn't alter your desktop view, but it has some nice features.
