Third party publishers Glu have announced Age Of Empires III for the new N-Gage platform, with an expected release date of February 2009. This would be presumably based on the PC real time strategy game made by Microsoft, set in the glory days of various European colonial powers. We should emphasise that this title hasn't been confirmed by Nokia yet, the only people to even mention it are Glu themselves. (Thanks to "brain" on the N-Gage blog's comments section)

I suppose this makes up for Glu cancelling "super slam ping pong"... 😉
Oooh I like a nice strategy game (if I ever have spare time)..
Very nice, strategy games are excellent for longer trips and it's something N-Gage lack of at the moment 😊
But I wonder if it will be a quick port of their java version or something new?
Glu's previous N-gage title (World Series Of Poker) was pretty much just a Java port, but they said last year that they're changing direction and concentrating on more complex smartphone games, so who knows what this game will be like...
As with so many phone titles, this could really benefit from an online mode, though it would probably have to be turn-based to do that.
