Mobbler - Last FM Client

Mornin' all...

I don't know if any of you lot tried earlier versions of Mobbler (last FM client). Some of them were a bit clunky.

I've been using it for a while now (car stereo playing up, unlimited data plan - why not) but there's been a few releases lately which means I now declare it officially awesome 😉 and worth a revisit if you didn't get on before...

Bits from the changelog: -

* No audio skipping when using other applications! (audio player is now in a separate thread)
* Start buffering the next track when the current track is still playing, but has finished downloading
* Added an audio equaliser
* Export the track queue to a log file to be uploaded by scrobble uploader on a PC
* Can now pause the music player
* You can now set the pre-buffered amount of mp3 data in seconds
* You can now select a default access point
* Now remembers the last station you were listening so that it can be restarted
* General improvements in playback performance and UI feedback

SERIOUS NOTE: As it says on the Mobbler website, if you don't have unlimited data it could get real expensive real quick....

you might be able to tell me this then....

why when I try to play my 'loved tracks' its says 'You are not allowed to listen to that station'... we have LOW music compatibility! 😉

That's odd...

My "Loved Tracks" is almost all i listen too.

I tend to get that occasionally from other stations.

Tried reinstalling? (or updating if you've not got latest).

Failing that try donating to lastFM. I did that once (run out now) but I can't remember if it worked before that...

I installed Mobbler as a result of this thread and checked out last.fm. Gotta say guys, I am hooked. The client itself is pretty much flawless, the only bug I noticed was one where the client bombs out whenever I start it and select "resume radio station".

This is what open source is all about, a cracking piece of software. This is going to revolutionise my music listening habits! All I need now is an proper data plan!
