You may remember Nokia Chat, the seemingly aborted Maps-aware extension to S60 contacts? It has just been reborn as... Contacts on Ovi. Supporting more devices, more platforms (including Series 40), more ineroperability (e.g. with Google Talk), and so on. And it's all free, of course. There's also (on FP2, apparently) a new feature, in that will optionally broadcast the music you listen as a part of your personal message. Here's the download page.

This crashes and burns regularly on my N95.... methinks there are still bugs here - but remember guys, this IS still unashamedly in beta 8-)

Psiloc Connect no longer works for me after installing this on my N95-3 handset. Very annoying.
It could seem a jaiku experience or even twitter like. Problem is people cant track your messages, it is not a microblogging service but old IM.
Me again, I think that today communities and social networks are anything but restrictions. Only users should decide how much information they want to remain private: their contacts list, friends or followers; conversation history or messaging timeline (microblogging); let people know you looked at them...
