I have installed iplayer onto my n95 8gb which has the latest firmware for euro1.
It opens up and says Beta at the top though and if I click videos or radio nothing happens. When the ap opens it asks for an access point so I click my wi fi connection which is also the default connection in realplayer.
Anyone any ideas how I can get it to work?
Liam

Hello my friend.
It looks from your screenshot that you are using an old beta version and need to update to version 1.5.0. This works fine on my phone using WiFi.
If you have any problems getting hold of this version then just pm me and I'll send it to you.
Just noticed that you can get it from here:-

thanks. i got the file from the bbc website and its the only one i could find listed
infact it i downloaded the file form about 4 different sites and it only ever came up with that version.
Anyone know how to tell if the file is the most up to date version and can you confirm that v1.5 is the most current?

Well done mate!
Glad you've got it up and running. 😊
thank you. The actual streaming only works over wi fi though
when i download the video to watch from gallery it downloads ok and even gets an activation key which shows valid but i try playing it and it says "unable to play video". Any ideas please?
This seems to be a problem with the N95 and 8GB FP1.
I can, via WiFi, watch anything on the iPlayer but cannot get a downloaded video, even with the activation key, to play.
I wonder if it's the same with Nokia FP2 phones like the N96 or N85.

What did you do? I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the files which are supposed to be v1.5, but my screen still just displays BETA and does not show any content at all!
Can anyone suggest anything?
Thanks

Have you tried, as I mentioned in an earlier post, downloading the iPlayer 1.5 zip file from rainady's post here:-

It's really annoying

If you PM me I'll send you the version diplayed in my screenshot.
try uninstalling the old version and the one in the zip file worked for me. Make sure you have realplayer default connection set to your wi fi

I've found that it varies on your ISP.
At home, on a BT connection, my N95 will not stream any video.
At the girlfriends place, on a Virgin media connection, it streams perfectly.
Total wind up that it won't work via the Orange network though.
I have now got the streaming up and running using the zipped file on the other thread. It's a shame there's no working downloads for the N95 as this would be of more use to me than the streaming conent.
Oh well, its still a great service when you think about it

As far as I'm aware, the update is only for the N85 and N96 (both FP2) which are the only two Nokia's officially supported by iPlayer.
