Nokia retail (UK) now have the 5880 blue

... and all the blue units are shipping with V11 firmware. (one sales guy told me there's another firmware update due on 8th Feb, but don't take this as gospel)

The blue was available when the red was from Nokia UK, I got mine on Monday 26th (would have been friday had I chose express delivery).

It actually had V10 on it but I did an over the air update on that day.

OK, so the ones they have now are "second batch"... the main point is that these are now shipping with V11 whereas the red phones are still on V10 (with no update)

In answer to the other post... Nokia Finland tell me the black / white model is likely to be the one which ships with "Comes With Music", so don't expect to see it in retail until about March...

yer same here, i got my 5800 blue on monday and its v11 - i think its unbranded! its has a voda box but other than that the handset has no logos or vodafone menus/links etc!

Im looking to get this from Vodafone too.
Did you buy it from the Vodafone shop or from them directly on the phone as a new contract/upgrade?

Thanks

i was on the sim only 30 day contract but for an extra fiver i could have the same tarif and a nokia 5800 so just went in voda and they done it for me there and then! was really really impressed by them actually it was really easy! really like vodafone, been wiv em 11 years now and theyve been so good!

i bought it over the phone.

i'd still prefer the black/grey one though. the coloured stripe makes the handset look a bit cheap so i might try and sell it and maybe buy the black/grey one when it comes out. in the meantime, im looking to try change the product code to a hong kong one as a lot of my mp3s are of an oriental nature =D. any ideas who i would go about doing this? i've read that nss doesnt work for this version of s60.

My "red" was v11.0.008 from point of sale, at the UK launch.
