The N95 - 8 .. still .. I tend to agree(though I still love my N95-1) .. but if you're after something with new firmware you can do worse (eg N96) than buy an N85 - if ONLY it had xenon.

So .. if you can live a while longer with your N95 -8G then I'd stick with it. Can you "upgrade" to a new one?😊

Thanks... i did think that somebody may have said that.

I may hold out for a short while and see if i can get the N97 when it comes out, would that be wise??

the thing with the N97 is it will be new .. with "1.0" firmware we can only hope its going to be really finished out of the box .. but we know thats unlikely - I think there's a thread on the front page about accepting the fact that firmware flaws are always going to be there and we should just get over it 😊
Heres that thread : http://www.allaboutsymbian.com/forum//forum/thread/81771/

Anyway - the thing is the N97 will be a fabulous device - I personally think its pretty good - I'm not an N-gage person so the touch pad thing to me is just a waste of keyboard space. I'm also a little disappointed in the Camera spec. It should have Xenon and LED but 5MP is acceptable. You know the imaging quality depends so much on the firmware that its unlikely to be as good as your N95 immediately.

I hope that Nokia is learning plenty from the 5800 release - to me the 5800 is a development platform for the N97 and future touch-screen devices.

So .. yes holding out for the N97 may well be wise. Since we're already agreed that you have the best available phone. 😊
