I was trying to update the firmware of my Nokia N73 music ed. from 4.07xxxxxx to 4.0812.4.2.1.
I was using the latest nokia pc suite (Nokia_PC_Suite_7_1_18_0).
I run the NSU, But when it downloaded the udpate (about 77 mb) the phone goes offline and phone got disconnected from PC automatically. :con? (USB not recognized) Now it's not coming up. Not even showing the initial screen any light, nothing.
Is it bricked?😮 Can I do anything to save my cellphone. Please help!!![/SIZE]
Same problem happened to me a few months ago. Only difference is that I updated a different version. It was the latest firmware and I used the new Ovi Suit/Nokia Suit that came out or something like that.
Anyways I asked around on Nokias forums and they all told me to scrap the phone or bring it to a Official Nokia maintenance center, where it would probably cost a fortune as the phone had no warranty and a new one would probably be cheaper. But I managed to save it for almost no money. Brought it to a local phone repair shop and he managed to install new firmware on it. No idea how. It cost me about 20.00BGN~$14.00
