Hey Guys
I'm new here so please be gentle.
I've got an N96 Recently updated to 12.043 firmware on an O2 contract.
My problem is none of my text messages will send. Just suddenly they stopped working.
The text just sits in the outbox constantly attempting to send, saying 'resend at' (xx:xx) time
i can receive texts, mms, calls.
My mms messages will go through and i can make calls.
i spoke to O2 who advised me to change my network mode setting from dual mode to gsm, network selection to manual and switch off then on.
this didn't work as you may have gathered lol
i've tried my sim in another phone and my texts went through. back in the N96 it's still not working so its obviously a phone issue.
i thought maybe it was due to a corrupt message so i deleted several hundred from my inbox but still no luck
Has anyone experienced anything like this?
Any help would be appreciated.
Sorry for the long winded post thought i'd add as much info as i could.
Thanks:icon14:
I have the same problem on my N96 (12.043), although not as severe as yours. About half of my messages get stuck in the outbox. This is quite annoying, as I often only realise it several hours later. I'm in South Africa on Vodacom, which I think shows this is a phone issue & not network related.
Hi :hello:
Just incase anybody is interested thought i'd give an update.
I finally bit the bullet did a backup and used the reset codes as per this thread
planetn96.com/forum//forum/thread/411/
Surprisingly the *#7780# code didnt really do anything.
So eventually used the *#7370# hard reset code.
This has finally solved my problem.
I restored everythung apart from settings.
First thing i noticed tho was how quick the phone has become.
Wow its like a totally different phone.
Using the hard reset code deleted n-gage, all games, windows live and all my bloody licenses.:banghead:
So now i can't watch my Top Gear or Dr Who lol
I was on my 90 days free trial with nokia maps which disappeared but thankfully you can update the license for maps from their server.
In the end i do believe that what i've lost is nothing compared to what i've gained.with the newfound speed and my ability to text.
Finally i'm happy😎
hey there,
experiencing the same problem currently.....
just followed your instructions as to how you got your phone to work and have managed to get mine to work as well, but like you I have lost NGage and all my licenses, is there anyway to get them back?
I also noticed you said you lost windows live. is that a downloadable app and how did you get it?
Hard Reset is a way to remove all your installations , data , etc , except from MemoryCard . So make a Backup first , see thread :

To keep your Phone "fresh and ready" , see this thread about saving Memory :
