Official 5800 Nokia bug reporting method

:icon4: Do any of the founders / mods know of an official Nokia bug reporting site - forum - email address or any other method of advising the factory of the faults and problems the customers are reporting?

If not it might be a good idea for one of the better connected amongst you to start a thread here, where we can post our faults discuss them so we dont send daft things in to Nokia what do you think.

I've selected the Other/Not Known option when reporting 5800 issues.

I suspect it slows things down even more but until Nokia UK support admit that the 5800 has actually been released there doesn't seem to be an alternative.

Thanks for the tip I have sent them an email pointing out that the clock is a big issue that needs sorting and made some other suggestions for improvement.
We shall see.

I had reason to use the Sat Nav for the first time this afternoon, and I have to say it is remarkably good, I had to purchase the driving navigator add on but I was fairly impressed.

Both my TomTom mobile & Wayfinder phone SW are more comprehensive and both have traffic info, but neither run on the 5800 so for a bundled system it worked pretty well.

It appears contacting them online is a lesson in futility.

I just got a reply telling me to go to a service center, and they will determine if it needs repair.

Eh? Whats to determine? It cannot keep the time!

The i8910 is looking better by the minute. Tbh, I'm getting really tired of Nokia's build quality (I know this is a software issue, but I have the gap most other people woth 5800s have).

nitro, do you have the same bug with Nokia Maps I do? Watch it carefully (if possible). When it gives voice instructions, it freezes the picture. Then jumps to catch up when the voice has finished.

In other words the Nokia so called "help desk" is as big a joke as Sony Ericsson's! And to think I actually believed things would get better with Nokia:frown:

What will happen once you have been told by the service centre "You are correct ,it is not keeping time sir"?

I will keep and eye on Maps I have to be honest as soon as TomTom release mobile phone sw for the 5800 I will be going back to that as I get the traffic info and speed whoops sorry "Safety Camera" info!!!!😉

Sorry, not happening. Tomtom have told me they have no plans for any Nokia device at all. Garmin and ALK already told me they are making versions for the 5800, no ETA though.

I take it you mean New devices they already support some Nokia devices.
I am surprised that they are closing the door so completely given Nokia is the worlds largest phone maker.

How good is the Garmin & ALK stuff on European mapping, Speed cameras and Traffic info if they are not as good as TomTom I wont bother.😎

The most recent Nokia they support is the E65. Needless to say, thats a rather old model. They have never supported the N95 etc, nor ever will.

I cannot comment on the others, as I usually dont pay for the extra services.
