Nokia N95 + BBC Iplayer over 3G

Hi guys,

I am struggling to get a defintive answer to this problem. I am using BBC Iplayer V1.5 on my N95, my understanding is that V1.6 doesn't work at all when I tested it. V1.5 works happy over WIFI, but I have a very good and free 3G connection which I would like to put to use with the IPlayer. The problem is that the Iplayer wants to only work with the WIFI connection and not the 3G. I have done lots of reading online and can't find an actual fix to the problem. People have mentioned editing various files in notepad within the iplayer.wgz archive, but this doesn't seem to actually be relevant to the 3G fix and only for phone compatibility. I am yet to actually come across someone who has this working with the same setup as me, so I wonder is this actually possible?

Your help is much appreciated.

Thanks.

Thanks for your reply. I actually got this working perfectly with my 3G or WIFI connection using V1.0 of BBC IPlayer. Works great! 😊 My 3G connection with O2 is very good and streaming pretty much anything using V1.0 is superb over either data connection. 😊

Thanks.
