Hi All,
Just to let you know I have just finished writing and packing my first game for the Nokia 5800, its available here: http://30dbs.blogspot.com/
some screen shots:

Because the 5800 has no gamepad it was a challenge to come up with a method of controlling the player , but I managed to come up with two 😊
Its totally free so have fun, let me know what you think.
all the best
Jamie
Good on you - will probably give this a whirl later.
Quick comment from me, may only be down to the screen grabs etc but as a person who suffers from Colour Vision Deficiency it looks tricky to differentiate the falling block and the double block tiles, maybe a different design to distinguish them more from each other would help ?
oh - and also looking forward to the game which takes its content from your username ;o)

Hi Bartop,
Thanks for the reply, you're right, it is down to the screenshots, the tiles in the game are animated and pulse a different colour. which makes it a little easier to view.
I hope you enjoy the game!
Hi
Good game, I remember the C64 version of this game, I got it on some magazine covertape 😛
Anyway controls feel abit off for me, cannot use the finger option so I go for the stylus.
I need to play it some more to explain what the problem is, maybe the ball should always be centered in the screen, making input for easier.

Hi Skillster, that is a great idea, I wish I had thought of that! I don't think I'll implement it now that the game is released but I think it il'l certainly be an idea for future games. Thanks!
Oh and I think the magazine was Commodore Format, one of the greatest publications of all times 😊
