Answering a phonecall by opening the flip?

I'm kinda missing a feature...
I only had one phone with flip before, it was a Panasonic DECT phone.
It had an "active flip" which answered the phonecall (you could turn it on or off) when you opened the flip.

I had this baby for quite a while and grew quite acustomed to it, just yesterday I found myself waking up by a phonecall and as I picked up the phone I actually tried answering it by opening the flip.

Have I missed something or is it simply impossible to answer phonecalls through opening the flip?

I had a Ericsson T39 before and there you had to answer by opening the lid.. And I've gotten so used to it I'm always making this misstake with my P800.. Please SE make it possible to answer by opening the lid.
