Forum Nokia has published the official technical specifications of the Nokia E55, Nokia E75, 6710 Navigator and 6720 Classic. Interesting to note that the E55, 6710 and 6720 all have processors running at 600mhz, as does the 5630 XpressMusic which was announced last week, which is a big step up from the 369mhz speed of previous S60 models. However, the amount of free RAM available for user applications isn't listed for any device.

Read on in the full article.

On the E75s device details page at Forum Nokia the processor speed is now 369 MHz. Don't know if they changed it or if you missed it. Every one else you reported is correctly 600 MHz.

Any of the bunch being announced have graphics chips? I followed the various discussions on this recently with interest, but it was only when I fired up Global Race on both my N95 and my wife's new 5800 that I decided there was no way I was going to "upgrade" my N95 to something without a graphics chip. If Nokia haven't produced ("produced" not "announced"😉 something with good graphics in the next few months I'll be looking at changing brands.

The games on the 5800 are not very good at all. I reckon that bounce hasn't been properly optimised and the racing game just doesn't impress.

The argument can rage on about if you need a graphics chip or not, but you definatly need some more power from somewhere.

Oh, and I wouldn't trust forum Nokias specs very much, they have been known to change and be incorrect on many occasions.

They can do it with fairy dust for all I care. But show me video of an N95-1 and a potential successor running Global Race or Crash Bandicoot side-by-side before I'm convinced.

I haven't read anything that says when the N97 will be in stores other than the one remark by the Nokia guy at WMC. Is this actually confirmed? I was hoping for an end of March release as it was expected to avoid competition with the Pre.

Nokia has never stated an end-of March release for the N97. I think it was just some blogger, which apparently many other web sites took as "evidence" and have been spreading since.

The only thing Nokia has ever said officially about the N97's launch is that it'll be in the first half of 2009, which means some time before July.

Some retailers started listing it as March, but retailers often just make dates up.
