Hi folks
Since upgrading to v20 I've noticed that every so often my screen will randomly change colour to either blue/green or red for a few seconds then change back!
Is anyone else experiencing this problem?

i got this problem in version 1 and the latest v2. i believe it is a hardware problem and the nokia support people will help.......i havent found the time to go get it fixed just yet......i might go today....but i cant live without ma Tube!
also, does everyone have a little crack in the top right side of the phone? either its a fault or its a clever way to disperse heat........

i have the same problem too. not quite sure if it is software or hardware. it looks like hardware but feels like software, if you know what i mean😊 if somebody has been to nokia care center, let us know how to solve the issue, cheers

im getting mine replaced this monday for a brand new one,phone seems to of got worse so thought its best to exchange it!!
well i went to the nokia care people but my phone has been imported from another country so tehy wont help......i went to the place where i got my phone and they said that if it is REALLY a big issue then we can have it sent for inspection otherwise just wait for a software upgrade.....im gonna see if it annoys me alot.....the color hasnt changed in 3-4 days so i dunno, maybe it fixed itself, but i doubt that. if it really starts to bug me then ill have it sent for inspection....😞 but Nokia - Not Cool at all.....
a new BUG in my 5800! sometimes(now 4-5 times/day) before or after i finish a call, the display remain all black! i can turn it off, or to cancel the call...
the only sollution that i have is to remove the battery and put it back again...
Now i wait for a new firmware, if still not working i going to nokia care service😎
yeah, it happened to me few times, nothing really serious for now but i feel annoyed for having to deal with this with my brand new phone 😞 I will wait to get to the point where it really hinders the use of the phone and it is apparent so that people from the care center will fix it and not just "send for inspection, wait 3 weeks and nothing happens". It seems that this is a wide spread issue so i hope its just a software bug that can be fixed in the future firmware. For some reason I feel like the 5800 users are treated as beta testers of S60 v5 ...

It's a software issue, as I have had a 5800 which didn't do it with V11 firmware, but then started doing it with V20 installed.
Nokia WILL replace phones that are doing this though.
(No, I don't know of any software fix for it or what causes it. It's completely random, but is more prone to happen if the phone is doing a lot of screen redraws at once (like changing from portrait to landscape)
I experience this problem on the original software version, 10.0.010. Was thinking that it might have been a software problem too, but am uncertain since you guys are still experiencing it v20 of the firmware :con?

They've replaced 2 for me!
yeah I've had this issue - screen changes colour every now and then. It doesn't affect the phone's functionality in any way, and it's only an oddity. Doesn't bother me, am certainly not going through the process of trying to get a new phone over this

Anyway, for the moment i wait for a firmware upgrade, maybe that will fix the problems. Until the new firmware update i expect from Nokia to officialy recognize the big problems of sofware/hardware that 5800 have it, and to fix it in the new update.
If the problems are still there after update, i'm gonna replace my device immediatly!😉
