If you are using XP, try running the application with a compatibility layer type thingie (you know what I mean? Go to the properties of the application's shortcut, click on 'Compatibility'😉 and that could fix it.

More advanced version my arse, its just as CRAP as the old video converter.

Nokia really do need to get there hands out of there arses and start to develop a video converter which actually convert's the clips into quality clipa not crap ones where the picture is all distorted!

Come sort it our Nokia!

I have a similar problem with the convertor. Can convert audio files, but not video file. Same error for both the version on CD and the pro version.

Any more suggestions on solving this? Any other converters available?

Chris

You CAN convert excellent quality clips with the multimedia converter pro. If you don't mind having large files.

Saw this a while back. Got round it by changing file extensions - eg .mpg to .asf. Converter then seemed to recognise the file as video and convert to .nim. Sorry, but can't remember which extension worked best. I think it was .asf or.asg

Can you get a better framerate than the 3.5(slideshow) cause that's to slow to watch anything. That's why I prefer Nim.
