Hi,

It's nice to be here.

I'm so new to all the Symbian things and I just for myself a Nokia E71 cuz I hope it can help me in doing my business.

And u know? I'm new, very very new. This is my first handset, actually called a smartphone so can anyone list here 10 best must have software to help a business man in all areas a business man can get into, like emails, organizing everyday things and so on.

Thank you very much,

Hi, I'll give you some advice on the software you have to install.
1. GPS---Nokia map3.0 is a good one,but you'd better download the map through your computer first, otherwise, you have to download it by your phone...that's too expensive.
2. Ultimate record---can help you to record~
3. multiple scaner--scan the business card, text. quickly and efficient.
4. barcode reader--read the barcode...
5. opera MINI--a kind of browser, better than the NOKIAs..
6. office~--higher version, its support office 2007..
7. call master--you can forbid the phone NO. which you dont wanna to receive.
8. SIStail--to clean your phone info: rubbish file.etc
9. MSN5.0--uses like on your PC
10. Dont forget to install some games~😎 for relaxing..

above all are part of the softwares i use...you can refer to it..

That's a good list and a great place to start with.

I'd throw in some more themes - a few searches will find plenty.

I'd add that it's almost impossible to know what would work for you... because it depends on what you need. So if you have a need for something... try looking for an application. I think that if you don't know what you need, you need more time with the E71, then you'll start getting ideas...😊

For me... I find the standard version of QuickOffice that's pre-installed on the handset is adequate, as I also find the standard email client (here it's more that I tolerate it). I also use Mail for Exchange. I only have a few applications installed but have tried many.

My most useful application is a PalmOS emulator, but if this is your first smartphone I'm going to assume it's also your first PDA so StyleTap isn't relevant.

I prefer GoogleMaps over Nokia Maps but then that's just me. Plus with GoogleMaps you can use Latitude and have your buddies spy on you - or vice-versa of course. 😉
