I've been scouring and scouring the net with the aid of Google, but just can't find any Active Standby applications.
I'm looking for a quick weather forcast (like a three day or something) which'll reside in the active standby.
Anyone know where I can find any? (If any are available?)
I'd appreciate the help!

There aren't any (or many), because Nokia has not published to developers the Active standby plugin APIs/interfaces. In other words, developers can't write such.
It looks like it'll be easier (web runtime, WRT, widgets) on the N97, at least. Maybe that functionality will propagate to other devices, too (wouldn't expect much on/for existing devices, though).
for a 3 or FIVE weather forecast plugin just install Handy SHELL.
It looks awesome and the software comes with 1 year licence for handy weather.
in plus you will get the option to automatic search trough app or contacts using numeric keypads.
just give it a try.

Worldmate isn't an active standby plugin but it's free and very useful. Not just provides weather forecast but can convert currencies as well.
