mpg avi player for 9210 is there such thing???

i am wondering if 9210 has an application to play mpg and avi files without converting them to rm or nim?

Na there is definately nothing around which sux. These sorts of files are about the only ones we usually receive as email attachments and we cant play them without converting them first. The communicator wouldnt play them anyway because mpeg and avi files usually have a high frame rate of about 25-30 frames per second. The communicator can only really handle 10 frames on a smaller sized video picture. I have had good smooth video at 15 frames per second but it really depends on the source video. Any more frames and the video frames will just freeze up. The 9210i which is coming out may possibly have a faster processing speed and maybe able to handle a higher frame rate. Have to wait and see.
