Python for the Samsung INNOV8 and i7110 - of sorts

It seems that Samsung Mobile Innovator's team signed a version of Python for S60 a few weeks ago - and then forgot to tell anyone. You can grab it here, look for post no. 10. Note that this isn't a complete system, in that there's no signed 'Script shell', so you can't run scripts directly. However, Python apps packaged properly as SIS files should now work OK on the Samsung INNOV8 and i7110, which is a good start. Screens below the break. Now, Samsung programming wizards, how about a working firmware update mechanism, eh?

Read on in the full article.

Not forgetting also support for the G810 and a working USB driver! I can't sync my G810 using Parallels on my MacBook, even though the driver has finally installed correctly (leaving a file in Win XP with an actual size, after about 20 attempts) and the G810 can be seen by the Mac. Somewhere along the line, the PC Suite just loses it. All of which means that I also can't sync or update Route 66, as the USB link doesn't work properly.
All of the news recently is about the Innov8 and later. Nothing about the G810.

Thanks to HelloOX or something you can hack these phones anyway now, so Ive signed my own version of Python and had it running fine, with the script shell, on my phone for a while now 😎
