Just debranded my n85

My N85 has PC 0572869, I'm in the UK. The phone is not Sim locked. Changing this can revoke your network providers warantee (let alone any Nokia guarantee), mind you its never held me back!!

I'm curious, this is the first N series I've seen that brings up a list/index when pressing *#0000#. In that list it one of the statements says Language set 001.

Does any one know how to load different language sets? ~ is this a new option? I'm after Scandinavian (which includes english anyway).

You can't load the new language pakccs yourself without either taking your phone to Nokia or changing the firmware on the phone.

Have you changed the product code on your n85? If not, then try this -
To get Scandinavian, you could try contacting your nearest Nokia care centre. The problem is if you changed the product code then they might not help you for free if they notice it.

If you changed your product code yourself then i would suggest changing your product code to one for the region you're after. I would suggest searching google for "n85 product codes" as i don't know the product code numbers. I would think Scandinavian would maybe under the EURO2 product codes or even EURO3, if there is a EURO3 that is.

Hello,

Did the orange debranding mean that the 'orange email' option under messages disappear?

It's a handy feature as I use my orange email but I was thinking of debranding it because of problems using the usb charger.

Thanks 😊

JUST REMEMBER DEBRANDING WILL CANCEL YOUR WARRANTY. If you're not bothered about the warranty then it's worth doing.

When i debranded my phone the email accounts i had set my phone to use were still there under messages. If it does go though you can always re enter the settings to access your orange email account 😊

I'm guessing your phone is currently on code 0577607?

I would seriously recommend you use the EURO1 product code though as it will give you the newest firmware version. The product code is 0555817.

Can I change the product code only to check if the mobile can be updated... and then put back the old one ?
my product code is 0569611 .
Thanks.
