Nokia have released Monopoly, Here and Now: The World Edition for the N-Gage platform. Bringing the classic property trading board game into the next generation gaming platform, the EA published title allows up to four players to play on a board populated not by streets, but by the major cities of the world.

I want N-Gage on my Nokia 5800! Anyone from Nokia reading AAS? If so, bad move Nokia, I bought a lot of stuff on my old device and I would've continued to do so.

It would have been really easy to put the multiplayer mode in the game cause it's turn-based and we've already seen those kinda games with multiplayer like Reset Generation and PSG. But I have a question. Are 3rd party developers and publishers actually "allowed" to make those kind of games?
And something else. Why all the recent games are 2mb? Is it because people don't download games with higher sizes? At first, games where usually over 10mb and CotD was 27mb.

I found it ironic that this supposed "World" edition is actually the first ngage game which discriminates among countries.
It's not out in Italy.
Same as for the iphone version, which has been out for some time already, but it's not available in the appstore for Italy. Can someone remember that Italy ranks among top markets for anything mobile related? two thumbs down

I second that notion. Extremely boring. Now imagine if it supported 2-6 players on bluetooth (which is 'theorectically' possible) it would be Not-extremely boring.

I think developers don't put thier best when it comes to ngage.why the hell wud i want pass my phone around just to play multiplayer.an updated version shud include multiplayer.

As I said when I first heard this announced, they should have had a multiplayer online option. It would have been very easy to do, and would have added a huge amount of replay value. Massive missed opportunity here.

However, let's give the game a chance before condemning it. Someone (me or one of the other folks on AAN) will be reviewing this very soon.

That sounds like a legal problem. There's probably some Italian company which owns the rights to mobile Monopoly, so no one else would be allowed to release it on phones in that country.

If that's the case, then there's nothing that anyone can do about it. Exclusive rights mean exclusive rights.

@tzer seriously waiting for u guys review.cuz other sites just hype weird games e. g asphalt 4,but ur reviews are accurate and tangible keep up the good work.but do u still think opengles hw sdk will still be released.that's something i've given up hope on.

Geostigma, the graphics hardware support will be released in the next N-Gage SDK version. The problem is that the latest compatible phones don't seem to have graphics hardware in them. (Though Nokia are going to include graphics hardware support in their new internet tablet, but that's not N-Gage or Symbian compatible.)

Thanks! Yeah, we're totally independent so we can say what we like about the games. If we hate something we say so.

Gameloft were really lazy with Asphalt 4, that's why it got such a bad review. It was a bit strange how many other sites gave it really positive reviews, but everyone has their own tastes...

BTW Gameloft do make good N-Gage games too though, I liked Midnight Pool and Brain Challenge, and Ewan liked Brothers In Arms.
