problem with my n95...

I installed a few applications and I think one of the installtion processes failed. Now, whenever I switch the phone on it tries to run the installation process again. This results in the phone going super-slow for two or three minutes and nothing else will load. Text then appears telling me that an untrusted application exists in mass memory, and I need to go to application manager to install it...

I'm sure it's just a file in the mass memory that is trying to run on start up but I'm not sure where it is - anybody know how I sort this ?

Try the built in Application Manager and see which prog's are not installed and delete them.

If that doesn't work you could try a "soft" reset by typing in *#7370# on the front screen and then restarting your phone.

If this does not work then you may need a "hard" reset, *#7780#, after first backing your phone up using PC Suite. If this solves the problem then Restore to your phone piece meal rather than a blanket restore as this will only put the uninstalled application back on.

The soft format is *#7780#, and the hard format is *#7370#
The easiest way is to un-installed all third party software first and then perform a hard format. When the phone resets then installed all those third party software again. But I must say that you should copy your contacts to memory card first as you'll loose all the contacts in hard formatting.
I hope it solves your prob.
