Weird Problem - Where Did my Calendar Item Go

6 replies · 2,782 views · Started 05 March 2009

Hey, everything fine on my v20 Red HK 5800 for many months...

And today I woke up to find that my Calendar items are no longer showing on the Home Screen. I double checked that I'm on the Shortcuts version... and checked in theme settings to ensure all the plugins were on...

I tried a full resync with Mail for Exchange... nada.

Anyone have ideas? don't particularly want to format my phone for this?

VERY weird... it happened to me as well today!!!!!!! But then I did *#7370# reset and wasted 6 hours of my life setting the phone back to how it was.

What a screwed up bug. :icon13:

Ok, so that's amazing... it can't be a coincidence...

That's a VERY screwed up bug. I'm assuming post *#7370# it was working again?

ps... thanks for validating my insanity...

Yes it fixed the problem but whats to say it won't happen again.

I was adding mp3s to my phone using Nokia Multimedia Transfer on my mac for the first time yesterday, could be something to do with that? Removing device from usb while there's still data being transferred? Dont see how that should affect the calendar though.

Sadly and Amazingly after getting all my stuff installed... I repro'd this!...

By going into the Clock Icon and setting my Alarm Clock Ringtone to something... I closed the screen... and bingo, lost my calendar.

ARRGH.

Happened to me too multiple times. Its very frustrating to reset the phone and then setup everything from scratch again to get the calendar back on your screen. Also, i went to the home screen settings to see if calendar plugin was there, and it wasnt even there. Something removes the plugin from homescreen altogether. Hope Nokia's next firmware fixes this issue. Very frustrating😡
