Remove homepage icon

Hi,

Is there anyway to remove the icon for adding contacts to the homepage? It gets in the way of a nice background and isn't something I want to use.

Presumably, if you are not actually using the contacts feature, the easiest way would be to change it to the 'Basic' homescreen theme, thus....

settings/personal/themes/hpme scr. theme/basic

also is it possible to remove the bottom two icons, the dialing pad and contacts buttons?
i really don't use them and it would be nice to have full screen
