I am considering getting a P800 and was wondering about the following ...
is there any I.M software available for the P800, ok we wont be seeing MSN messenger on there, but what about AIM/ICQ/Yahoo etc ?
lets say there is something in place, can you keep GPRS on in such a way that you are 'always' online so that contacts can get to you ?
for example the SPV cuts the GPRS session when it goes into standby and therefore you cant stay online etc same problem with P800.

For ICQ i use Mybuddies.. works fine..
as for keeping the GPRS connection up at all times its possible but not rekomended, for exaple u can�t make a call with the connection up and it uses a log of batery.
I think TipicME can do MSN and yahoo and Chatclient is for irc ?

Yup I use TipicME, it�s a great piece of software I use it regularly while at Uni and at work. I only use the MSN and ICQ messengers, but it also supports Yahoo and AOL, its not bad makes full use of the screen with there latest version that�s optimised for the p800. Also it works through your bluetooth connection as well in much the same way opera does, the messenger doesn�t send a lot of data, I use it for about 10-15 min�s at a time, talking for that long it usually sends between 50-100kb through GPRS

it is good, but sometimes it crashes...
Is it because i haven' t stored the JAD file????
I deleted the JAD file too, mines never crashed; I did find when I first got the phone though that every time I downloaded software onto the phone it got slower and slower, even after I deleted the software it would still run slow. I did a Master Reset and restored a backup image of the phone and everything is the way it should be again! [=
