i'm planning to get this phone and i'm wondering about a few things about it:
- can you mute the ring of an incoming call ?
i mean, imagine that someone calls and i don't want to answer, but i don't want to reject the call and send him to voice mail directly. i just want to mute the ringing. is that possible ?
- how many sms can this phone hold in the inbox / outbox ?
- about apps, do you need i8510 specific apps or can you use any S60 app ?
(if i'm not mistaken i think you have to sign them via a tool first, too ?)
- do you guys have any site with ressources for this phone ? (like, custom firmwares, apps, etc)

Every S60 based phone I've seen (and probably this one, too, even if I haven't handled it myself) will let you mute/silence the ringing of an incoming call.
Like with all S60 phones, the limit for incoming SMSs is the amount of memory available to store the messages. So a few thousand, at least, easily in phone memory. And if you change the memory for message to a bigger memory card... For sent messages, there's a limit in the Messaging app Settings. Default is 20, and the max is 999, at least on Nokia's S60 models.
Most S60 3rd Ed. apps should work, but not those signed by Nokia (as a Samsung will not have a Nokia root certificate).
