N95 8GB as a bluetooth modem on O2

Sorry if this has come up before. I am relatively new to this.

I have just bought an Asus Eee PC 901 (windows XP) with bluetooth and also have the N95 (8GB) with O2 and their web bolt on.

I wish to use the phone as a bluetooth modem occasionally whilst at work.

I am able to connect both the phone and the netbook together but I can not view any internet pages.

I have spoken to O2 who told me that the only way to get around this is to get rid of the web bolt on and use pay as you go data transfer.

My question is as long as I do not use internet excessively how can they tell. Also can please anyone produce a really simple "idiot's guide" to how to use the N95 as a bluetooth modem with O2?

Thankyou

Upgrade to Linux😎 Sorry I can't help directly, but it should be possible. I have set up a bluetooth modem with O2 using Linux with no problem. I am sure a bit of Googling will find a suitable XP tutorial.

Once you have created a dial-up networking point in My bluetooth places, click on it to connect, once the dial-up screen appears enter the phone number as *99# leave the user name and password fields blank, hit dial and you should hopefully be online - works for me, and this is the first time I have have used bluetooth modem, only tried it after reading your post, if all fails google it
have fun

or install nokia pc suite, connect phone to laptop via usb or blue tooth then on pc suite hit the network/GPRS icon (connect to internet) and then select O2 from the option menu and thats it and you will be online in few seconds. dont use it on ur pc too much or data will go up quick and you may get call from CS.

if its just email and few sites then you r ok.
