recover contacts

keep trying to restore the back up, i normally back up contacs using nokia backup and also in the contact app u can export . i also have a back up on O2 bluebook.

when you are restoring, only restore contacts

if it works do the export thing and do full restore if u need to and if u have contact problem then restore using the import in the contact app.

First of all its a workaround or a suggestion to you available from some third party applications

Since your issue is with Contacts, you can search in google for an application called Nokia_Contact_Transfer.exe or you can download an application called noki to view the contents of your backup .nbu file. If your .nbu backup file has backuped all the contacts and if its not broken, you can use either of the above application to get your contacts.

As previous post to mine mentioned, you can also try to restore Contacts alone using Nokia's Content copier. Are you using Nokia PC Suite's Content copier or OVI Suite's Content Copier ????

And this isn't very helpful after the fact but sync your contacts to something external. Like zyb.com or ovi. No reliance on your phone or your backup then...
