Hi this is your webmaster speaking... For a custimisation article that I am writing would some kind person please take a screenshot or two of the display control app in the control panel... with special notice towards changing wallpapers and CBA texture.
Also if anyone has installed any of Loonys custom textures a shot of that would be nice.
and want you get in return is... a credit in the article if you want it!
Also aside from texture bars, wallpapers and icons would anyone like to suggest any other customisation features (e.g. operator logos - dont know how to do this).
Thanks
Rafe
*TIP* To take a screenshot press Ctrl+Shift+Chr+S. You can then save it as a .mbm. You can use Imaging app to change it to .jpg.
Hey boss,
Well it is no problem for to take the screenshots but it will be without any special themes installed
Let me know what pics you exactly need
Jan
SHIIIIIIT, i think you won't be happy to hear but i use a totally different language so i suppose that maybe somebody with an English ROM could be allot more help.
COME ON, HELP THE BOSS!
Guys Guys
Im on it.(with joy)..Just takes a little while to do all the converting and rebooting.
But ill throw them in later this evening.
The Boss?! LOL.. hmmm.
Thanks Loony. Only if you got some free time of course.
Would someone like to tell me where they keep there extra ringtones and write a quick bit about setting them up to be used via profiles? Screenshot of profile? Probably not necessary.. All this is for a customisation article which will go up soon along with a load of new wallpapers etc.
Rafe
Loony, Jan needs you. Do you use icq or something?
Hmm..Im there Jan
..
THE BOSS...LOL..Great one.
Ok Rafe...This all for you to use..(If you want to that is)
In order to get the following to work these easy steps are kinda required.
First off is is ofcourse the need of copying the display.mbm supplied in the themepack zip file to the Csystemdata Directory on the 9210.As well as copying the 4 Wallpapers to ones normal wallpaper directory.
(((Restoring the original display.mbm can be done either by making a backup to start with, witch is the smart thing to do
.Or install the All_Nokia_9210_data.sis again))).
That done..Its all set.
Ok...........The Screenshots..

First is the Extras Button...Here the control panel is the interesting part.

In the Control panel we find the Display Settings

In the Display settings we want to look at the second menu called colours...Here we select our crispy texture for the right menu and the matching colour scheme

After a gentle reboot we are throw back to our trusty desks..Now we want a wall paper that matches the Right Menu.Again we look in the settings

And looking for the matching wallpaper...

And finaly its there..

He He...Rafe..Say if you need more..
In the mean while grap some themes at

Hi folks,
what do you think about this
Just load "Display.rsc" from the 9210 to the pc, take a hex-editor and change the names from "Wheels", "Sand", "Water" and "Leaves" to "Pic1", "Pic2", "Pic3" and "Pic4", than move/copy the modified "Display.rsc" back to the communicator.
It's much better to see "Pic1" than "Wheels" when you've changed the four pics...
Greeting Hartmut
Very nice Frank..
he he..Ill take that as a hint and start making a couple of Sci-Fi Themes...
Frank
Anychance of some screenshots of your skins?
Do you object to me putting them in the downloads area of this website (once I get organised)...
Rafe
Hi!
JPG's are available in the ZIP's. I'll prepare some screenshots and send them to you. And... of course you are free to use them whereever you want

Frank

I love these new backdrops, however many of them are a little dark and therefore the text is hard to read. Can i cahnge the colour of the side menu text?
Nope...Sorry..
You have to brighten the .BMP file you wish to use before you convert it to .MBM
So make sure that the files you use are bright enough.

Nice work Loony - I think I'll have a feature of textures / backgrounds ready next weekend (weekend is the only time for serious additions appart from news atm). Of course you get prime spot!
Only question - where did those All About ER6 ones go - I rather liked them!
