Google StreetView hits the UK and Netherlands

Google has flipped the switch on StreetView for the UK and The Netherlands. At least, it has if you live in one of a dozen or so major cities. Reading isn't included (sob), but London, Bristol, Liverpool, Birmingham and Sheffield are all present and correct. Comments and additions welcome if you'd like to try your home city.

Just had a quick play around with this for Manchester and it's revealed a huge shortcoming - the photo's are all taken from a road vehicle, so all the pedestrian streets aren't available (and there's a heck of a lot of those) - I'd suspect that the same holds true for all the other cities?

The time I'm most likely to use streetview is when I'm physically walking around a town, it's not much use if I can only get streetviews for streets with vehicular access.

Streetview accessed on the web lets you zoom in
Streetview on your phone doesn't let you zoom in - as far as I can see on the 5800.
