I've been using the forum for years (only recently became a member).
I fell for the N85 as soon as i read about it's development (although the N86 - would probably be better now). I got it on contract with Orange at phones 4u in November, they were, at that time, sold unlocked ie ready to take any network sim.
We still own and still use N70 (retired), 2x N95, N81 8gb, and N73 all have been unlocked, with new scandinavian product codes (we need the Finnish charactor sets etc).
I have not changed the product code but have upgraded to software version 11.047.
The phone seems unstable, button presses often dont work immediately when on calls (telephone banking, answer phone, etc) and playing games. It also regularly locks up when browsing. I was hoping the upgrade would sort it out but it seems to of made no difference. It is a beautifully finished phone but seems to be of launched with bugs in its software.
Has anyone else experienced this?
I'm not an incessant gamer but high scores are impossible. I've deleted phone messages i didnt want to, and messed up password entries. It ought to be better than my N95's but it just isn't.
All the N's I've had have worked faultlessly (N81 suffers from a memory problem - see other thread)
Any suggestions?
ps: Does anyone have a Scandinavian product code?
