[Help] Phone no longer detected at all through USB [SOLVED]

[SOLVED]

Apparantly i just had to push down harder on the cable to get it recognized, I guess sometimes the old-fashioned methodes are the ones that work.

When i first got my N95 (silver) everything worked fine, and i used the PC suite and such to transfer files and install programs.
After a while it became a bit tricky to get the PC suite to recognize the phone, but after a few tries it would work.

However, for the last week or 2 it hasn't been getting detected at all.
The phone itself also no longer detects it being connected, as it no longer prompts me for to choose a connection mode even though choosing is enabled (and always has been).

No major ''events'' like firmware changes, changed configurations, or dropping the phone have happened during the period in which the problems started to happen, and since it happened quite gradually i think it's either the USB cable (I'm using the one that came with the phone, says Nokia on it) or some faulty hardware in the phone.

Could someone shed some light on whether this is a common problem or not?

Any help would be greatly appreciated, as USB is my only means of connecting to this pc.
